Up to 47% off Vietnam visa stamping fees from late November

Good news is that the Vietnam visa stamping fee will be cut down up to 47% from November 23rd, 2015, according to the official news from Vietnamese Government.

It is officially announces that the Ministry of Finance has recently approved the proposal on decrease of fee to pick up visa on arrival (also known as stamping fee). Its approval is made in writing under Circular No 157/2015/TT-BTC of the Ministry of Finance providing the regime on collection, management and use of fees for issuing passports, visas and papers on entry, exit, transit and residence in Vietnam.


According to the circular, the visa stamping fees will have a dramatic decrease, in which:

- Stamping fee for single entry visa will fall from current US$45 to US25;

- Stamping fee for multiple entry visa of three months or less will decrease from current US$95 to US$50.

This new fee scheme will take effect from November 23rd, 2015.

So now, it is not only convenient to apply for Vietnam visa, it is also cost-saving if visitors apply for visa on arrival to Vietnam.

For Indian passport holders, how to obtain a Vietnam visa on arrival?

In the past, Indian citizens had many difficulties in getting a Vietnam Visa online. However, thanks to the new open policy, Indian passport holders are easier to apply online for Vietnam Visa. All information and procedure are recently made short, simple and easy to understand, including instruction for visa on arrival application which is shortly presented in four simple steps:

At first, applicant need to fill out the Vietnam visa application form online with accurate personal information. All the information in the application form must match that on passport. The second task is making payment for visa service fee using Credit/ Debit Card via OnePay/PayPal or cash via Western Union after carefully check applicant's information. Next, applicant will receive a visa approval letter via email within 1-2 working days for normal service. Included in the email are detailed instructions on getting visa stamped at the arrival airport in Vietnam. Finally, visa will be stamped at Immigration Officiers at the arrival airport.
