Steel Decking has long been an integral and vital part of the construction industry and is an ideal method for multitude of concrete flooring solutions. Truedek is a fully patented and trademarked concrete formwork and reinforcement system from Premier Steel Technologies.

In 2004, a new & innovative Steel Decking System was developed by OneSteel and introduced to the Australian construction industry as Trussdek. The various component profiles that made up the product were manufactured and assembled by Premier Steel Technologies, a specialist custom rollforming company based in Wetherill Park and from the outset the product received very positive market acceptance and growth due to a unique range of benefits that made it stand out from the existing products in the decking market.

In 2014 the ownership and licensing were purchased by Premier Steel and the product was renamed Truedek - and after some restructuring has recently recommenced manufacturing and is now available to the market.

The Truedek system starts where the others stop, offering an impressive, unsupported span of up to 7 metres. This is an incredible advantage when considering interruptions a traditional steel deck system can impose on the progress of most building construction jobs.

With Truedek Steel Decking, there is usually no propping or support beams required. The trapeziod shaped beams are manufactured from four individual rollformed profiles, then assembled together using the patented German TOX® blind riveting system, giving them incredible strength.

Relatively lightweight, the 250mm wide beams can be custom-made to length in heights of 90mm, 110mm, 140mm & 160mm and include an inbuilt pre-camber to suit the span, removing any deflection under the weight of the wet concrete, preventing ponding and achieving a truly flat soffit. The beams lock firmly together making a secure working platform that becomes part of the reinforcing, usually meaning much less concrete is required than a normal equivalent size floor. Another major advantage with the strength of the beams is that the floor can be ready to use much sooner, speeding up the ongoing concreting and building process, allowing other infrastructure and trades to keep working.

All projects are engineer certified and Truedek can be manufactured to suit virtually any building flooring configuration, offering a welcome solution to many building problems.
