Famous for its representation of the original art of reproduction, the Triennale has been taking place in Grenchen since 1958. This makes it to one of the most renowned exhibitions dedicated to this theme, worldwide. It is one of the most important cultural events taking place in the Canton Solothurn/Switzerland.

Tradition as the foundation and innovation as the path to lead the way – on occasion of this year´s 20th Triennale, this year focus are art prints printed in traditional manual print techniques presented in the exhibition- and tennis centre of Grenchen close to the Grenchen Airport. Around 20 workshops are going to exhibit a selection of their artists. Interested visitors will be shown 1000 of the most recent works created by over 200 artists who live in Switzerland or abroad.

The only exhibition for original art prints in Switzerland

The Triennale Grenchen in Switzerland offers visitors a unique opportunity to marvel at the artistic world of the original art prints, which is especially characterized by its amazing precision and incredible diversity. The exhibition will hold the latest works of young talents and famous artists. The focus will be on both, the traditional art of manual printing techniques and a sign of appreciation for the print workshops that still stick to these techniques and highly regard the advantages coming along with it compared to the digital print techniques: Brilliance, sharpness, and colour intensity.

Special exhibitions under the motto of 3D print and South Africa

This year´s 20th Triennale will be completed by a special exhibition: “South African Prints“, which will be held by the South-African curator Mandy Conidaris, who´ll come up with 20 artists from her home country and the second special exhibition presents an exclusive 3D-print art exhibition in collaboration with the company PrintaBit. Visitors may look forward to an exhibition of the most recent technique in the field of multiple arts. The exhibition in Grenchen/Switzerland is open from 17th until 20th September 2015, daily 11-21h.
