Sustainability is Priority in Keystone’s Environmental Initiatives 2017-09-28 02:16:06
Keystone, a leader in architectural linings and acoustic solutions, has a strong commitment to maintaining ecofriendly policies for manufacturing and sourcing products from suppliers. Their goal, outlined in their policy, is to conserve the environment for present and future generations.

Keystone products – acoustic ceiling tiles, wall acoustic panels and perforated panels - are eco-friendly and excellent for the construction of beautiful, functional and totally unique spaces. The company has 40 years of service in providing the best quality ceiling, lining and wall panels. They are continually searching for new methods of reducing carbon emissions and improving environmental performance.

Their policies cover air emissions, energy consumption, renewable resources, minimising waste, strict standards for suppliers, reducing pollution and supporting Landcare in and around the country. The company maintains high standards for its suppliers and for other areas of production. Their manufacturing process along with energy consumption management systems allows them to continually increase awareness for the environment while maintaining their quality. Keystone offers custom-designed panels that fit every requirement. They strive to use renewable and recyclable resources to minimise their impact on resources.

Keystone uses, when possible, plywood and MDF with the lowest possible formaldehyde emissions. Using skylights and power factor equipment in their factory has allowed limited reliance on electricity. Key-Board is made from 100 per cent recycled timber and paper. Their range of plywood, MDF and veneers is sourced from companies using Good Environmental Choice Australia (GECA) certification. In order to reduce the amount of wood wasted during manufacturing Keystone uses excess wood to create a range of folk art and Christmas decorations. All paper used in their office is reused or recycled.

In order to minimise pollution modern dust extraction systems are used to limit particles released into the atmosphere. Their delivery trucks have environment friendly engines. In partnership with Landcare Keystone has been involved in communities that are improving farmlands and waterways, restoring wildlife and protecting the urban environment.

The company can be contacted for information on their products and meeting specific acoustic requirements by calling (02) 9604 8813.
