Bangkok - Stamford International University, a respected and established innovative educational institute in Thailand, recently hosted its ‘Winging Ceremony’ to mark the progression of 3rd year students studying Airline Business Management into a 480-hour internship in leading airlines businesses. The ceremony, led by Rungkaew Katekaew (front row, 1st left), Head of Department for Airline Business Management, was attended by Mr. Gilles Mahe, CEO Laureate Thailand; Dr. Apitep Saekow, Assistant President for Academic Affairs (Postgraduate) together with Kaew-Jarinya Sirimongkolsakul, famous singer from Thai pop girl group "Faye Fang Kaew" and Pop-Supasit Chinvinijkulookie, singer from Thai boy band “Rookie BB” who joined the event with other Stamford Friends, at the Auditorium, Stamford International University, Bangkok Campus.

The Airline Business Management course is part of the Bachelor of Business Administration in Business Administration, which aims to develop graduates to be able to perform effectively as airline industry professionals. It gives students comprehensive knowledge about the international airline business and all of its myriad functions. Areas of study include: airline technology such as reservation, ticketing and aircraft, English for airline business, aviation human factors, food and beverage, in-flight service, passenger ground services management, personality development, principles of airline marketing, air-cargo import-export and airline business, as well as law.

The Airline Business Management faculty and lecturers are highly experienced instructors with a background in the international airline industry and all have extensive airline industry management experience. Guest lecturers from the airline industry provide students with insights into the actual business environment. The 480-hour internship component which takes place within leading airline companies contributes to building a complete and fully qualified airline industry professional.
