TAMPA, FL / ACCESSWIRE / April 4, 2023 / Today is a great day to save pets' lives. In an effort to help pets in need of lifesaving emergency and specialty veterinary care, celebrity animal lovers and philanthropists, Kimberly Williams-Paisley and Brad Paisley have partnered with Frankie's Friends, a national non-profit organization dedicated to saving pets with life-threatening conditions.
Williams-Paisley shared her experience on Instagram after having to take her own dog, Hoot, to the emergency vet at BluePearl Pet Hospital in Tennessee. She said, "We thought maybe he'd swallowed something and had an obstruction, but further X-rays and an ultrasound showed he actually had an abscess in his liver. Hoot had emergency surgery and was in critical care for a few long days. Now he is well and back to his normal, cheerful self! We are so grateful for the phenomenal care our dog got at the hospital. Nothing like an emergency surgery for a beloved furry member of the family to put things into perspective. We really feel for pet owners who aren't able to pay for their pets' care and we're thrilled to learn about and help support Frankie's Friends who helps cover costs!"

Williams-Paisley and Frankie's Friends share a deep belief that pets are a beloved part of the family and should have access to high quality veterinary care, regardless of their financial means. To show her appreciation and pay it forward to help other pets in need of lifesaving veterinary care, Williams-Paisley and her family have sponsored Frankie's Friends' online Pet Photo Contest taking place throughout the month of April, in honor of their dog Hoot. Funds raised will help pets in need of lifesaving emergency and specialty veterinary care when their owners cannot afford the cost of treatment. Pet lovers can enter their precious pooches, fierce felines, and other furry friends destined to be ani-models through the website at www.gogophotocontest.com/frankiesfriends2023.

The photo with the most votes by receiving the most donations will be prominently featured on the cover of an 18 month calendar. The pet owner will also receive a copy of the calendar to proudly display, as well as a fabulous prize pack including a gift basket provided by Banfield Pet Hospital, a $50 Chewy gift card, a $50 gift certificate to Wufer's Cookies, and one month from BarkBox. The top 18 photos will be featured on a month in the calendar as well as receive a copy of the calendar.

Votes are $1 each but supporters have the ability to donate/vote as often and as much as they want. Williams-Paisley and her family have generously agreed to match the first $10,000 raised in the Pet Photo Contest to further the mission of helping pets in need of lifesaving veterinary care.

"We are so happy to hear that Hoot is doing well and received the care needed to save his life. Every day pets across the country are faced with life-threatening illnesses and injuries, just like Hoot, and unfortunately many of them need veterinary care that is beyond the means of their loving families. The support and generosity from the Paisleys will truly allow us to save the lives of pets who would otherwise suffer without proper veterinary care, be relinquished to shelters, or worse - simply because their families can't afford the cost of the treatment." said Frankie's Friends Executive Director Danielle Martin.
