The New Jersey Association of Women Business Owners (NJAWBO) is hosting its NJAWBO Statewide Oceanfront Luncheon Conference and Expo at the Jersey Shore, which will take place on September 14 at Rooney’s Oceanfront Restaurant, Long Branch, New Jersey, from 11:00am to 2:30pm. The focus for this conference is Exploring Passion, Leadership, Inspiration, and Business Success. The event will feature two dynamic speakers, “Table Talk” brainstorming, an expo area, fabulous view of the Atlantic Ocean, buffet lunch, and great networking. The conference speakers are Donna Miller, founder and president of C3Workplace of Montclair and Sparta, New Jersey, and Stacy Petti, owner of Teacher’s Recipe Gourmet Fudge, of Lakehurst, New Jersey.
In Donna Miller’s presentation, “How to Build a Company that Runs without You—From Entrepreneur to CEO to Visionary,” she will share her story and passion of how she’s grown her organization from a “part-time gig” to a highly respected company and small business resource that runs itself while she enjoys work-life integration and builds a legacy. As founder and president of C3Workplace, Donna Miller brings her experience in growing a multi-location organization to the stage. She will share her insights on what it takes to start and grow a self-sustaining organization, even if it’s only you.
Stacy Petti’s talk, “From Sweet Success to Future Women Leaders,” will focus on key factors that shaped her candy business and the decisions that made it super successful. She’ll also paint a picture of how her experience as a Girl Scout Troop Leader and transition into a management position with the Girl Scouts of the Jersey Shore have shaped her life, the lives of Girl Scouts, and an even more successful business as she comes full circle back to her business. Stacy felt a calling to help girls set goals and then achieve them. She believes the country needs more women leaders and that we, as successful women business owners, owe it to the next generation to not only serve as role models but to also actively mentor young women so they can achieve success.
Take some time out of your busy business schedule to learn new ideas, be inspired, meet NJAWBO members and other business owners from across the state, connect with the sponsors and exhibitors, and build relationships—all while enjoying a spectacular view of the beach and Atlantic Ocean.
The event fee for advance online registration is $45 for NJAWBO members and $55 for others. The fee at the door is $65 for all. To register (by 9/12/17), please go to www.njawbo.org/event/StateConf-2017-9-14
