Gadsby’s Digital Transformation Drives Growth and New Appointments

Gadsby began producing and supplying wicker baskets and hampers back in 1864. However, it’s in the last year that profits have been significantly boosted by the digital transformation of the whole business. Somerset firm, are best known for their wicker hampers, packaging and retail display products. Still a family firm, the management team have worked hard to future proof growth with an ambitious plan that’s seen a new bespoke software system developed and installed to drive efficiency and delivery times from the warehouse. This controls the picking and packaging of product as well as courier deliveries.

Working with their agency, the team have also upgraded their website and a new CRM system now links all parts of the business. This has delivered automation to all parts of the sales operation allowing faster and more efficient order dispatch. It's also allowed the business to take stock of future expansion plans and product innovation.

The management team have strengthened the staff with the appointment of Lucy Allen who will be responsible for the website and marketing of the Gadsby brand. Lucy comes to Gadsby with a strong record in ecommerce having worked at and Vogue Magazine. Additionally, Sian Owen joins the sales team from Wadworth Breweries and there is active and ongoing recruitment in this team.
