Distributed Temperature Sensing Systems (DTS) are optoelectronic devices which measure temperatures by means of optical fibers functioning as linear sensors. Since optical fibers are not susceptible to electromagnetic interference they are ideal for use in power stations and for monitoring of distribution lines.
