Amazing Challenges for Charity Like Walk the Great Wall of China in 2017

Amazing Challenges for Charity Like Walk the Great Wall of China in 2017 2017-03-14 16:03:25
Want to change the lives of the world’s most vulnerable children? Are you looking for a children’s charity that offers epic challenges?

Although we live at a time when people are living longer, and healthcare is better than ever, there are many places in the world where children live in unimaginable conditions.

In richer countries, it’s easy to forget how many children are vulnerable to problems like trafficking, extreme poverty, war and natural disasters.

Over the past few years, it’s often taken shocking pictures to galvanise us into taking action, such as the picture of Syrian boy covered in dust, or the heart-breaking picture of a child washed up on a beach. But obviously this is only the tip of the iceberg.

If you want to make a difference in 2017, why not consider one of our challenges?

Childreach International is a charity that helps children all over the world, enabling them to gain an education, live in safety and be protected against trafficking.

Our challenges for charity can take you all over the world, whether it’s trekking through Machu Picchu, climbing Mount Kilimanjaro or surviving in the Amazon jungle.

Although we are a small charity, we can make a big difference.

Why not discover more about our challenges? We look forward to you joining us in 2017.

Looking for a unique way to raise money for a children’s charity?

If so, consider our 16-day trip to the Great Wall of China.

The Great Wall of China is the world’s longest wall and is over 2,300 years old, stretching from the beaches of Qinhuangdao to the mountains of Beijing. This is the single longest man-made structure in the world. Although it can’t actually be seen from the moon, it’s one of the most spectacular structures you’ll ever see.

The building of this ancient landmark took more than 1800 years, and is largely crafted from earth and stone. It was once described as ‘the longest cemetery on earth’ because so many people died making it. It has also been compared to a dragon, as the Chinese believe the earth was filled with dragons who gave shape to the landscape.

Have you always dreamt of walking the Great Wall of China?

With Childreach International you can walk along some of the wildest and least restored parts of this spectacular monument. The wall attracts around 70,000 visitors a day but this is the part not many people get to see!

With our Great Wall of China Walk, you can also stay with local people and get to experience how they live. You’ll also have the chance to practice Tai Chi at sunset and do independent travel with your team. You can really immerse yourself in the country and experience their way of life and history.
