Early 2015, Belgian startup Ahooga introduces an ultra-lightweight folding, elegant and concern-solving eBike, thereby “dissolving obstacles to Happy & Smart Cities”.

Very much inspired by cities like Copenhagen and the work of contemporary urbanists (eg. Jan Gehl, Charles Montgomery), the co-founders strongly believed in this: the secret of the world’s happiest cities lies on pleasant commuting.

So they started Ahooga, creating the first folding-yet-comfortable, electric-yet-ultra-lightweight bike. It brings to life an exclusive combination of features: ultra-lightweight, folding, electric (or not), elegant, compact, stiff, speedy, stable, comfortable, highly customizable and easy to carry when folded. Connoisseurs know what we're talking about.

Unlike most e-bikes, when the assistance is off, the Ahooga eBike remains a lightweight bicycle, easy and fun to ride. More, its design brings you a safe and fantastic riding experience. The Ahooga Bike is a proven product and has already been delivered to hundreds of happy riders.

Cherry on the cake, it is available in no less than 215 colors with matt or glossy finish.

But the picture would not be complete without this. They wanted to make this bike - that did not exist yet - available at a great price. Thus they chose for a Best Value For Money strategy, a real challenge for bicycles designed in Belgium and manufactured in Europe.

March 2017, after a controlled launch (read local) in order to maintain proximity with the customers – proximity which the company qualifies as vital to the product and users’ happiness - Ahooga continues its international expansion, henceforth supported by a growing network of proficient dealers (40+) in no less than 10 European countries, including UK (Belgium, The Netherlands, Luxembourg, Italy, Spain, Switzerland, France, Germany, Finland, United Kingdom).

More recently, during the very exclusive Berliner Fahrradschau, Ahooga unveiled its new collections and options, among which a disc break version and a new battery adding 25km of autonomy to the standard range (…). Besides specialized press recognition, the international show resulted into exciting new brands partnerships and new markets activation to be announced soon.
