Carmen Perez, actress, singer & songwriter, releases her new music EP "Space Girl"

Renaissance woman - Singer/songwriter, actress, visual artist and U.S. Army Veteran CARMEN PEREZ just released her new music EP “Space Girl” this January 2017, with Skywalk Productions, now available on Spotify, iTunes, Amazon, etc. The EP touches on Scandinavian pop while channeling Carmen's PuertoRican rhythmic heritage. Carmen is a blend of a Latin Sade, Kylie Minogue, Gloria Estefan & Janet Jackson, yet she mimics no one.
This EP follows Carmen Perez's hits on Billboard's Top 40 Hot Dance Club Play & Top 10 UK Commercial Pop Charts, “Emergency” & “Overload”, and Carmen's UK chart topper, the Super Stylers remix of “Run Little Devil.” Also, on October 31st, 2016, a song Carmen co-composed, “Pajarito”, was released to be included in the popular chillout/lounge series, “Café Del Mar - Dreams 9” album.
EP was produced by hit songwriter/producer Sigurd Røsnes (Cher, Namie Amuro, Kumi Koda, BoA, Ace of Base to name a few). Sigurd Røsnes scored a #1 with Cher on Billboard’s Hot Dance Music Chart and #1 on Billboard’s Latin Chart with Luis Fonsi. He has also had #1 singles in Japan, Korea, France and Holland.
Carmen currently has a popular recurring role as Captain Vasquez on the Robert Rodriguez/Mark Burnett hit Emmy-Nominated TV series “Lucha Underground” on El Rey Network. She has over 60 acting credits and has exhibited and sold her paintings internationally. Carmen is proud to have served her country on active duty in the U.S. Army for 6 years.

Carmen Perez's BIO:
Carmen Perez is an actress, singer, songwriter, visual artist, filmmaker and a U.S. Army Veteran. (NOT to be confused with the activist). She was born in Bronx, New York and raised mostly in Puerto Rico. At 17 years old, she joined the U.S. Army active duty for 6 years. After being stationed overseas and in Washington, D.C., becoming a Sergeant by the age of 21, earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Government and International Politics with a minor in Legal Studies at George Mason University, she moved to Hollywood to pursue an acting career.
Carmen Perez is currently recurring as Captain Vasquez on the Robert Rodriguez/Mark Burnett hit/Emmy-nominated TV series “Lucha Underground.” She has over 60 acting credits and won Best Supporting Actress by the Valley Theatre League Artistic Director Achievement (ADA) Awards for the play “Soldiers Don’t Cry” in 2003. She has had starring roles in He’s Just Not That Into You, Nip/Tuck, Everybody Hates Chris, General Hospital, amongst others.
As a singer/songwriter, an instrumental chillout/lounge music piece “Pajarito,” she co-wrote/co-composed with Matt Powell will be in the Café Del Mar ~ Dreams 9 album, to be released October 31, 2016. She has had hits on Billboard's Top 40 Hot Dance Club Play & Top 10 UK Commercial Pop Charts, “Emergency” & “Overload”, and UK chart topper, the Super Stylers remix of “Run Little Devil.” She also released an experimental album (Collective Fantasy) in 2014. She just released her new music EP "Space Girl" and it's receiving great reviews. She also has a few music collaborations, including with an international act called Fantastiques.
As a visual artist, Carmen has been acclaimed for using bold edges and vibrant colors and is continuously inspired by her experiences and world travels.
