According to findings of Zameen, it recorded 3.86% searches for Islamabad DHA Phase-2 plots out of the total searches made for the remaining residential plots in Islamabad in July 2012. This reflects a percentage increase of 3.5% compared to July 2011. The month of August resulted in a drop in percentage of searches made for DHA Islamabad Phase 2 plots in comparison to July. The total searches dropped to 3.40% out of total searches made for Islamabad plots in August reflecting a decrease of around 13.5% compared to search volume recorded in July.

, the drop could have been because of increasing competition as an increase in the search volume for plots in Bahria Town Islamabad, G-13, G-14 and B-17 was recorded during the same duration. Since middle-class is growing in Pakistan, the availability of similar facilities at competitive rates in CDA sectors was interesting buyers. The slow performance of Islamabad DHA phase-2 plots brought cheerful news for investors, since the average price of the plots became competitive with a decrease of 7.5% as compared to the previous month.
In September, prices of plots for sale in DHA Islamabad Phase-2 turned the tables and have been recovering fast. As per Zameen, residential plots again managed to reveal healthier increase of around 6% in search volume as compared to August. The relatively higher demand in September also increased the average price of DHA Phase-2 residential plots by 0.43%. This slight increase reflects that though price increased yet it still remained competitive with the price of other similar renowned areas of Islamabad.
As per Zameen, it is expecting the similar healthy performance from DHAI Phase 2 plots during Q4. It expects DHA Islamabad Phase II plots will top the list of most desired areas to invest in Islamabad real estate when the performance data of DHAI Phase 2 would be compiled at the end of the year.
