2013-10-31 19:50:43 - Young Group’s residential lettings and management business, Young London, received the Award for BEST LETTINGS AGENCY, UK from the International Property Awards sponsored by Gaggenau and Virgin Atlantic, having earlier won the 5 star award for BEST LETTINGS AGENCY, LONDON.
Young London competed against a large number of real estate companies throughout the UK to receive this recognition. The UK’s finest agencies and property consultants gathered at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London on Friday, October 18th to hear the long-anticipated results of the International Property Awards’ UK region competition.
Neil Young, Young London CEO, noted; “The Private Rented Sector is, rightly, under ever increasing scrutiny as new large scale investors enter the market. It’s a period of tremendous opportunity for the sector to demonstrate the tangible benefits that professional lettings and management brings in terms of void management, income generation and management of investment returns’ gross to net slippage.
“Being hailed the Best Lettings Agency in the UK - and the
Best Lettings Agency in London for the third year running - reaffirms our position of delivering consistently high levels of service to our residents and robust asset management advice to our clients, whether they be individual landlords, large scale institutional investors or developers and Housing Associations now operating in the Private Rented Sector.
“It’s a great achievement and I’m especially proud that the magnificent team we’ve gathered at Young London is having their hard work recognised.
“Since establishing Young London in 2008, we’ve actively questioned all the old assumptions that a traditional agency holds true. Being crowned the very best in the business shows that our strategy of developing a new blueprint with customer service excellence at its very heart is reaping huge rewards, not only for us, but for our clients and our residents alike.”
Lord Bates, Deputy Speaker of the British Parliament’s House of Lords presented the winning companies with their plaques during the awards ceremony.
The 5-star category winners were placed under further examination and just one from each category was named a regional UK winner. As a UK winner, Young London, will go on to compete in the International Final ‘World’s Best’ Property Awards hosted in London this coming December. Young London will compete against other global regional winners from Africa, the Middle East, Asia Pacific, Europe and the Americas to find the ultimate World’s Best in each category.
Stuart Shield, president of the International Property Awards, said, “As the International Property Awards offices are based in the UK, we take a personal interest in seeing how our region performs. Our 20th anniversary of the UK Property Awards did not disappoint. It was an honour to meet the most successful estate agents and property consultants from all over the UK. These agents are assisting clients in making intelligent property investments, helping homeowners to make a move to greener pastures, and even fulfilling many dreams of first-time home ownership.”
The UK Property Awards are part of the long established International Property Awards. The award winners’ logo is recognised as a symbol of excellence throughout the global industry. The UK Property Awards rank amongst the most prestigious commendations in the residential and commercial property industries. A high-calibre jury of international experts identifies the highest quality UK estate agencies as well as the most significant building projects.
The judging panel consists of 70 industry professionals including Andrew Panting, Director of Operations for the British Property Federation (BPF) and Peter Bolton King, Global Residential Director of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS).
