Yara appoint new head of Industrial segment

Oslo (2009-11-25): Yves Bonte is appointed new head of Yara's
Industrial segment with effect of 1 January 2010


Mr. Bonte, a Belgian national, is currently employed in The
Netherlands by the  Lyondellbasell group as Divisional Senior Vice
President for their Polypropylene business. He has extensive
international experience in the chemical industry, running
manufacturing operations, supply chain activities and commercial
entities where innovation and added value services were key success
factors.
"It is a great pleasure to welcome Yves Bonte to Yara as the new Head
of the Industrial segment, and I will also take the opportunity to
thank Trond Stangeby for his contribution during the last months as
acting Head of Industrial", says Jørgen Ole Haslestad, CEO and
President of Yara International ASA.

Yves Bonte will be member of Yara's Executive Management Team and
report to Jørgen Ole Haslestad.

Yara's Industrial segment creates value by developing and selling
chemical products and industrial gases to non-fertilizer market
segments. Industrial offers nitrogen chemicals as well as industrial
explosives, with environmental applications like NOx- abatement
growing strongly.
