Vancouver, B.C. – (April 16, 2009) – The excitement stirred up from The Beasley news conference in late March, announcing Amacon’s plan to pass on construction cost savings to Yaletown buyers, has led to the Homer Street condominium project selling out all 70 remaining suites. The marketing campaign, titled “Pass it on”, was another aggressive real estate initiative led by MAC Marketing Solutions.
With more than 8,000 new people pre-registered and several interested purchasers lined-up outside the presentation centre for nearly a week, the sales team was not surprised the suites sold fast.
“People understand the strong value offered at Beasley,” says Cameron McNeill, president of MAC. “With very low prices and interest rates, this could be the best time
to buy a new home in years. My advice to investors who missed out on this smart long-term opportunity is to be patient. Amacon will be passing on more savings with a new project they have in Abbotsford.”
The “Pass it on” campaign was made possible after Amacon spent months negotiating with their contractors and suppliers. When Amacon reviewed the construction costs they could save, they decided to pass on the savings to the pre-sale buyers of The Beasley. The significant savings were offered to new and original purchasers. The brand new Yaletown condos started at $219,900 CAD. For many original home buyers, this decision by Amacon deducted on average $100,000 – $250,000 from their initial purchase price. A 552 square foot one-bedroom originally priced at $449,900 sold for $314,900 and a 930 square foot two-bedroom originally priced at $766,900 sold for $491,900.
“The ‘Pass it on’ initiative was a great success,” says Bob Cabral, Vice President of Amacon. “We are doing a ‘Pass It On Again’ campaign for the Edgebrook in Abbotsford. On April 25 we will be selling 73 one and two bedroom condominiums. We are confident that people will want to take advantage of the same great reductions in Abbotsford, as Amacon’s development The Beasley, offered in Yaletown. “
The Edgebrooke, in Central Abbotsford, is a four-storey, 73-suite development located within steps of grocery and shopping conveniences. The Edgebrook’s estimated occupancy date is December 2009 and prices start at $159,900.
