The board of directors of Worthington Industries, Inc. (NYSE: WOR) has declared an accelerated third and fourth quarter cash dividend totaling $0.26 per share of outstanding common stock. The dividend is payable on December 28, 2012, to shareholders of record December 21, 2012. This dividend represents an acceleration of the dividend payments for the third and fourth quarters of fiscal 2013 of $0.13 per share for each quarter, and is in addition to the dividend to be paid on December 28, which had been declared on September 26, 2012. The next opportunity for the board to consider and approve a dividend will be at the June board meeting. This marks the 181st consecutive quarter that Worthington has paid a dividend since it became a public company in 1968.
