2009-11-09 21:58:52 - Birds Eye Global Tracking, LLC. located in Clearwater, FL, introduces its “BIRDS EYE EARTH TRACKER”, the world’s first affordable, personal GPS (Global Positioning System) tracking device with worldwide coverage. This device combines global positioning satellite and cell phone tower triangulation technologies to locate any person, vehicle or asset anytime and anywhere on the planet.

Clearwater, Florida, 11/9/2009- Birds Eye Global Tracking, LLC, has announced that it will begin offering this month, the world’s first affordable, personal GPS (Global Positioning System) tracking device with total worldwide coverage. According to Birds Eye CEO, Jimmy Bitzas, “For the first time, the general public will be able to discretely carry a tiny GPS device that can track their movements in as little as 15 seconds, anywhere on the planet.” The device, which is smaller and lighter than the average cell phone can locate a person anywhere on the globe in as little as 15 seconds with amazing pin-point accuracy, within 3 meters of their exact location. An online demonstration of this global tracking system is available at their

web site, www.birdseyeglobaltracking.com.

The increased tracking area for the new “BIRDS EYE EARTH TRACKER” device has been made possible by the latest generation of wireless circuitry called global quad-mode GSM (Global System for Mobile Communication), which covers all 4 GSM frequencies, including the 850, 900, 1800 and 1900 MHz bands. What makes the Birds Eye tracking device so unique is its ability to transmit its worldwide locations along with a graphical tracking history, directly to a caretaker on a continuous basis, 24 hours a day. “And because our tracking device is always-on, our customers enjoy continuous tracking without hidden “pay-per-click” overcharges for tracking services,” said Bitzas.

The secret behind the tracking device’s astonishing accuracy is a combination of two 21st century location technologies: the GPS system used by the US military and vehicle navigation systems and cell phone tower position plotting. Unlike other commonly used GPS vehicle navigation systems, which must use line of sight from the satellites looking down at the vehicle, this new GRPS (General Packet Radio Services) technology can now locate a subject inside a building and other structures.

In a recent product test, the Birds Eye “EARTH TRACKER” device was able to pinpoint the location of a subject on the 30th floor of a high-rise office building, in downtown Tampa, Florida. “And unlike a cell phone equipped with a GPS locator which loses its battery power in less than 5 hours, the Birds Eye unit can remain switched on, sending updates every two minutes, for up to 30 hours before needing a recharge,” said Bitzas.

In addition to its amazing global accuracy, the tracker’s movement can be monitored from any smart-phone or personal computer with access to the Birds Eye web site at www.tracklovedones.com . The caretaker gets a push-pin plotting of the subject’s movements updated every two minutes, and using the available tracking software, can quickly draw a virtual “safety zone” for their tracking subject, on a map. If the subject leaves the safety zone, an electronic alert is triggered sending a series of cell phone texts and email messages to the caretaker every 60 seconds for up to 1 hour or until the alert is disabled.

Birds Eye plans to introduce their “BIRDS EYE EARTH TRACKER” personal tracking product in a series of 30-second commercials in the Tampa Bay area, to be televised during prime-time hours beginning the week of November 8th, and running for the next 3 months. Birds Eye Corporation has an office located in Clearwater, Florida, and its tracking devices have already received high praise from the State Government of Maine and is on the approved vendor list with the National Alzheimer’s Association.
