Lashinda Demus, the world’s fastest woman in the 400-meter hurdles will appear at the Dana Point Turkey Trot presented by Golden Foods Nov. 26.
Track superstar Lashinda Demus will make a special appearance at the Dana Point Turkey Trot presented by Golden State Foods.
Demus, the world’s fastest woman in the 400-meter hurdles, lit up Europe at the 2009 World Outdoor Championships setting "world-best" times in Monaco, London and Crete, Greece. These times awarded her ownership of the top four times in the world including a personal best of 52.63. Demus won the silver in the 400-meter hurdles and gold in the 1600-meter relay at the 2009 World Championship Finals. She is on her way to gold in the 2012 Olympics.
Demus will join more than 10,000 participants from across the globe that are expected on Nov. 26 for the Thanksgiving Day event that features
a scenic coastal run along the Dana Point Harbor. The Dana Point Turkey Trot 5K and 10K run/walk, which benefits the Second Harvest Food Bank of Orange County, is one of the largest events in the nation.
The Turkey Trot also features the Cox Kids' Fun Run, a costume contest and more.
Demus will sign autographs and mingle with the masses during the fun-filled day.
