2014-04-09 11:25:30 - From April 20th to April 27th, German publishing house PepperBooks is granting free online access to their children's book „Lucy, Ilan and the Quest for Courage“
From April 20th to April 27th, the German publishing house PepperBooks has one of their children's books on offer – as a contribution to promoting reading, the download will be free.
In celebration of the World Book Day on April 23th, PepperBooks likes to contribute its share in promoting the joy and importance of reading, so it’s granting free online access to the richly illustrated children's book „Lucy, Ilan and the Quest for Courage“ by Suzanne Cohen.
Organized by the UNESCO, the World Book Day has been celebrated around the world since 1995. The aim is to inspire the love of reading and to provide easier access to books.
“The joy of reading is essential for gaining sustainable access to literature. Only by
reading and by being read to at an early age, children can develop language competences and communication skills - abilities that they need in order to be successful in later life.“ PepperBooks publishing director Sabine Bünger further states: “Offering one of our children's books as a free download is our symbolic contribution. We would like to share the fun of reading with the youngest and we hope that, together with their parents, they will enjoy Lucy and Ilan's story.“
PepperBooks was founded in 2011 and is specializing in children's and youth literature. Furthermore, the publishing house is actively involved in projects promoting literacy and creativity by the means of books.
