2014-04-04 11:41:38 - The 10th Annual Global ETF Awards® reflects outstanding achievements in 2013 by ETF industry participants. There will be a half-day workshop prior to the awards dinner in order for industry professionals from various parts of the world to discuss issues of common interest.
On April 10, 2014, at the Grand Hyatt, New York, New York, the event will begin in the afternoon with the Workshop, which will feature two distinct sessions -- the "Investors Discussion Forum" and the "Industry Discussion Forum". Each forum is designed to educate and to facilitate discussions on issues ranging from trading strategies for investors to new product developments and global regulatory challenges. Some of the topics include an overview of passive, active and smart beta ETFs, innovations of Indexes internationally, trading strategies, white-labeling-everything you wanted to know from an end-user prospective, regulatory issues affecting both the domestic and international marketplace, developments in Emerging and Commodities markets and the future of ETF product developments. There will be 2 special
general sessions. General Session 1 -Pushing the Envelope on Index Development will cover the ETF indexing landscape. Session 2-The Global ETP Marketplace- Developments and a Look Forward will explore developments and trends in the ETP marketplace.The Workshop concludes with a cocktail reception that will be held before the Awards dinner.
