Wine Industry Seminar on Climate Change Scheduled: Gloria Ferrer to Host International and Regional Experts

- Gloria Ferrer Winery in Sonoma will host an intensive, two-day seminar on Climate Change & Wine, July 31 through August 1. The seminar is organized by The Wine Academy of Spain, founders of the World Conference on Climate Change & Wine, one of the leading research organizations on the impact of climate change on the wine industry. www.climatechangeandwine.com

Pancho Campo, President of The Wine Academy of Spain and founder of the World Meeting on Climate Change and Wine, will direct the two-day seminar. Campo is a member of The Climate Project of Al Gore and was personally trained by the former U.S. Vice President and his team. (Vice President Gore spoke via videoconference at the World Meeting on Climate Change & Wine in Barcelona in February.) Campo has published numerous articles and conducted seminars in more than 20 countries.

Campo will be joined by guest speakers, including Dr. Gregory Jones from the University of Southern Oregon. Dr. Jones is considered the leading expert in the research of climate change and its impacts on the global wine industry. The seminar is also supported by the Wine Institute and Napa Valley Vintners; both organizations will provide speakers.
