According to numerous reports, Perez Hilton's "fashion" line is turning out to be an absolute belly flop. Heads are sure to roll at Hot Topic, the backers of his clown gear.
Despite being given the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to meet, greet, and get an autograph from Perez, only seven showed up to the launch of his line at the Hot Topic store on Hollywood Blvd.
One of the store's employees made the following statement:
"ONLY 7 people showed up.SEVEN.That's it.Mario was BEYOND upset texting and DEMENDING the right water, food,ETC he was a rude royal pain in the ass and BEYOND crass... My manager was trying to get people to come in to meet Perez by handing out $5 gift cards NO
ONE WANTED TO MEET HIM! ...he left around 8:45PM without saying goodbye to anyone & looked like he had been crying like the little bitch he is. We sold a grand total of $6.45 of Perez Hilton items between 6PM - 9PM. My manager has already talked about discounting his line' !'
OUCH!!
Guess what goes around comes around. I remember his revelry when Victoria "Posh" Beckham's DVB jeans showed up heavily discounted at Loehmann's shortly after its debut. Then there was his lashing of The Hills girls' lines as horrible celebrity lines.
Can you imagine anyone who'd want to wear shirts that say "Gossip Gangster" or any of the other tacky ensembles from his sure to be on the clearance rack collection.
This possible financial ruin could easily have been avoided by Hot Topic if only they had read the tell-tale signs of disaster written all over Perez's blog. Even recently as yesterday, he said of a Jonas Brothers pic below:
"The Jonas Brothers' stylist, Michelle Tomaszewski, deserves a major shout-out.
She always makes the boys look so good! Dapper, refined, fun and age-appropriate."
Perez by no means has any fashion sense and is laughable as a fashion critic, designer, or authority. He should stick to his vile shtick on celebrity news.
