About the Judeo Christian Health Clinic
Founded in 1972, the Judeo Christian Health Clinic began in a Sunday school
classroom at St. John Presbyterian Church. As the clinic grew, other churches,
synagogues and civic organizations joined in support. A truly ecumenical Board
of Directors representing Catholic, Jewish, and Protestant faiths direct clinic
policy and an executive director coordinates the operation of the clinic. The
clinic has grown from providing services in a Sunday school room to a 7,000
square-foot, state-of-the art facility with 13 medical exam rooms, 4 dental exam
chairs, an eye glass dispensary and a fully stocked state-licensed pharmacy.
Hundreds of health care providers and other compassionate persons donate and
volunteer their time to staff the various clinics, serving more than 35,000
patient visits in 2012. The clinic has served the Tampa Bay community for 41
years and does not accept government or United Way funds, relying on private
donors, fundraisers and grant writing to meet its annual operating budget each
year. More information can be found on the clinic's website at
www.judeochristianhealthclinic.org.
