Expansion Positions WellCare As The Only Statewide Medicaid Provider In Florida

TAMPA, Fla. (Feb. 5, 2013) - WellCare Health Plans, Inc. (NYSE: WCG) today
announced that the Florida Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA) has
approved WellCare of Florida to expand its Staywell Medicaid managed care
services. The expansion adds 25 new counties to the company's service area and
positions WellCare as the only Medicaid managed care provider offering plans in
all 67 Florida counties.

WellCare's Florida Medicaid services are provided through the company's Staywell
and HealthEase plans. The company's statewide Medicaid expansion has broadened
its reach to include counties that participate in Florida's Medicaid Reform
Pilot as well as counties that previously did not offer a Medicaid managed care
option.
