Washington Redskins-Chicago Bears Trend Based on Game Favorite Says Sports Handicapping Website

2013-10-19 22:13:06 - Sunday's game between the Washington Redskins and Chicago Bears has a key trend that deals with the game's total and is dependent upon which team is favored

In the first six weeks of the 2013 NFL regular season, a specific totals range has been a consistent winner when it comes to wagering on the over/under aspect of a game, according to sports handicapping website Vegas Experts.

The website looked at all games played thus far and broke them down by the game’s Las Vegas betting total. What it found is that games with totals from 48 to 51 were the most lucrative range to win for bettors, depending on which team was favored.

This Sunday, one game matches that trend: the Washington Redskins are hosting the Chicago Bears, with a current total of 49.5 points. This contest will likely be dependent upon which oddsmaker a bettor chooses, since both

teams have been listed as favorites during the course of the week.

The trend states that if the home team was favored, the over was the best wager, with a 9-2 sports handicapping record for the season. However, if the road team is favored, the under has been the best option, with a 6-1 mark when it comes to the Las Vegas betting totals.

Last weekend, three games fit the scenario. For home favorites, the New England Patriots were giving two points to the New Orleans Saints and won in dramatic fashion with a 30-27 last-second victory, which went over the posted total of 50. The two home underdogs went under: the Green Bay Packers at Baltimore Ravens game went below the 48 total, while the Indianapolis Colts at San Diego Chargers game also finished under the listed total of 50.
