2008-06-14 00:10:48 - Wal Mart supports local motorcycle chapter's fund-raising mission for pediatric brain tumor research.

GWTA, Top of Ohio Wings, Chapter B, receives large fund-raising grant for Marysville Ride For Kids®.

The Wal Mart Super Center in Marysville, Ohio makes a $1000.00 contribution to Logan County motorcycle club's fund-raising drive.

Logan County's own motorcycle club, GWTA Top Of Ohio Wings, is on their way to making a difference in the lives of children with brain tumors.

Tim Harman, Chapter Director, recently was presented a $1000 check from the Marysville Wal Mart Super Center. The chapter has set a goal of $75,000 for the Marysville Ride For Kids®, slated for July 26, 2008, during Honda HomeComing. "With this donation and several others from local area businesses and individuals, we are on our way," says Harman, also a local Bellefontaine business owner.

Top of Ohio Wings is the local Goldwing Touring Association chapter. Members are from Bellefontaine, Logan County, and the surrounding area. The Marysville Ride For Kids® is the official 2008 charity of the chapter.

The Marysville Ride For Kids® will benefit the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation (PBTF), a 501(c)(3) charitable organization. www.pbtfus.org The PBTF is the largest non-governmental funding agency for pediatric brain tumor research in the world, thanks to American Honda, Honda Riders Club of America and motorcycle riders from across the country.

Brain tumors affect the most innocent of all victims, children who want to grow up and dream of a future. They strike with little warning ad no mercy. Often, by the time a diagnosis is made, it is already too late. There are often no options. Why? There is no cure.

The chapter has several upcoming fund-raising events planned, including a PR/Fill The Helmet Day, scheduled for July 12 at the Bellefontaine Wal Mart Super Center. Their ongoing fund-raiser, Brown Bag For A Cure©, is reaching out to people from all over the world. Brown bag your lunch and donate what you would have spent on lunch out. It is just one lunch out of your life and it could be the very gift that provides thousands of children with just that -- Life! Please help us eradicate this monster.

With your help, the chapter members will give hope and save lives of our most precious commodity, our children. We are a TEAM.Together Each Accomplishes More.
