2010-02-03 15:47:53 - A forth colour scheme has now been added to the Sony Ericsson W995 Walkman series, the new pink edition takes the features and design of the previous models and encases them in a pretty new metallic pink housing.

A new colour variant of the top of the range Sony Ericsson W995 has now been added to the series, joining the existing Sony W995 original black edition and more recent red and Silver models is the new pink edition aimed squarely at a more female audience.

The Sony Ericsson W995 Pink represents a growing number of high specification handsets being launched in a pink casing to appeal to the expanding market of gadget loving females, taking the impressive features and design from the other Sony W995 models in the range this latest pink edition simply exchanges the colour of the external housing for a new, pretty metallic pink finish.

Although part of the Walkman range of music phones the pink Sony

W995 also offers a high specification 8.1 mega pixel camera with a whole host of camera features including auto focus and zoom, the W995 is a sliding design mobile phone so even when thrown around inside handbags and pockets the keys are well protected in the closed position.

Other notable features of the pink Sony Ericsson W995 include the latest Walkman 4.0 music player with stereo speakers, shake control and a 3.5mm headphone jack for using standard headphones rather than those provided in the packaging.

Also featured is Bluetooth and WiFi for connections on the move, an expandable memory using MicroSD cards for storing those all important music tracks, videos, photos and games, GPS for navigation purposes and a built in accelerometer to adjust the screen angle as you turn the phone for watching media such as downloaded movies and music videos.

The Sony Ericsson W995 does not have too much competition in the market from other manufacturers but actually from within the ranks of the manufacturers own models, the latest Sony Ericsson Aino takes on a very similar design with an 8.1 mega pixel camera and also features a colour coded bluetooth headset and multimedia desk top stand for watching media.

Other dedictaed music phones include the recently introduced Nokia X6 and Nokia X3 alongside the Nokia 5230 for those on a budget, the LG GM205 is LG's latest offering with stereo speakers but does not offer the same high specifications and finally the Samsung Beat DJ which takes music interaction to another level with a built in scratch pad for budding DJ although again the overall specs are way off the W995.

The Pink Sony W995 has been initially launched on Orange pay monthly deals as a retailer exclusive with the CPW Group, there are planned launches for this latest pink music phone on further networks including T-Mobile, O2 nd Vodafone as well as a Pay As You Go release in the pipeline.
