using Visionael's Network Resource Manager (NRM) to track network inventory in real-time, providing significant cost savings through improved resource allocation and reduced labor.

GSP worked with two of its intelligence agency customers to deploy Visionael's NRM, a single, server-based application which manages IT assets throughout the network lifecycle. Both agencies were experiencing difficulty managing their networks. Multiple groups were responsible for different aspects of the network and changes to the inventory were not centrally recorded. Relying on outdated information, network engineers often had to repeat tasks which significantly increased time spent on manual labor and overall costs.

Now, these agencies rely on Visionael's NRM to provide an up-to-date central repository of all network data. Using the NRM workflow engine, the agencies' network administrators can create a configuration control process to systematically manage the entire inventory throughout each stage of the project at hand. To ensure accuracy, Visionael's NRM monitors network equipment and checks the actual inventory against the repository. It automatically reconciles the inventory list to reflect the current inventory status, providing live, real-time network data.
