Through the school's fundraising efforts, $1.2 million was raised from community partners such as Viejas, who donated $250,000 to the project. The synthetic FieldTurf was installed to be able to stand up to frequent use, and the high school's 3,000 students, 25 varsity teams,
physical education classes and Pop Warner football teams will all benefit from the improvement. Interview opportunities with Supervisor Jacob, Viejas Chairman Barrett, school administrators and other community partners will be available.
