Oracle OpenWorld 2008 - VendorRate Duffy Jennings, 877-277-2121 ext. 3 djennings@vendorrate.com VendorRate (www.vendorrate.com), the only Internet site that offers quick, confidential performance ratings and comparisons of technology vendors, reported today that IT professionals attending the recent Oracle OpenWorld 2008 Conference in San Francisco gave low customer satisfaction ratings to five companies that implement and consult on behalf of Oracle.

Accenture, Capgemini, IBM Global Services, Oracle Consulting and Ranzal & Associates were among nine vendors receiving the lowest cumulative scores during the four-day show Sept. 21-25, attended by some 40,000 Oracle customers, partners and staff. Attendees submitted more than 600 ratings for nearly 200 vendors during the conference.

"Our data from Oracle OpenWorld points out the critical nature in examining both the primary vendor as well as the channel partner when choosing a technology vendor," said Rick Schaefer, CEO of VendorRate. "At the same time, Oracle users at the show were quick to praise some implementation partners they think are doing a good job."

Adobe Systems, AT&T Wireless and laptop vendors Dell and HP rounded out the bottom performers in ratings. Vendors receiving the highest overall customer satisfaction scores at the show were KBACE Technologies, BEA Systems, VERTEX Solutions, Apple Desktop-Notebook, Quest Software, Network Appliance and Dell's Server group.

With a maximum possible score of 100 based on ten key performance categories, Schaefer said, Accenture received the lowest overall score at the show with 58. Other Oracle partners with low ratings were Capgemini (61), IBM Global Services (63), Oracle Consulting (65) and Ranzal & Associates (67).

KBASE Technologies and BEA Systems tied for the highest score from the conference with 85. Others in the top group with scores of 80 or above were VERTEX Solutions (84), Apple Desktop-Notebook (82), and Quest Software, Network Appliance and Dell Server, all scoring 80.
