Veidekke Entreprenør AS has been awarded the contract from Veifor AS to build
stage 1 of the Hagebyen housing project at Fornebu in Bærum, close to Oslo.
Veifor is owned 50-50 by Fornebu Utvikling and Veidekke Eiendom. The contract
comprises the construction of 109 homes with a total sale value of approximately
NOK 470 million.

Hagebyen is centrally located at Fornebu with the Nansen park as the closest
neighbour and is the newest housing project at Fornebu. A total of 345 homes in
four building stages are planned. The first stage comprises six blocks of flats
and terrace houses around large, green yards, outdoor areas and playgrounds, in
addition to cellar parking. There will be flats ranging from 47 to 115 square
metres in size, three-level terrace houses 134 square
metres in size, as well as terrace flats and two-level top flats 105 and 91 square metres in size respectively. All flats will have a garden, terrace or balcony. The first flats went on sale in October 2011, and the project has sold more than 50% of the homes. "We are very happy with sales so far. There is high demand for flexible, family-friendly homes in green surroundings," says project developer Anders Holmlund with Veidekke Eiendom. "Veidekke Entreprenør is one of Norway's major home builders, and Fornebu Utvikling has already cooperated well with Veidekke Entreprenør on other projects at Fornebu. We are happy to have them on board for this project too," says housing director Jørgen Stavrum with Fornebu Utvikling. Work on stage 1 is scheduled to start in March. Planned completion is the fourth quarter of 2013. See more information on the project at www.hagebyen.no.
