VAPESTICK, one of the UK's most popular and widely distributed brands of
electric cigarettes has revealed exponential growth in sales in 2013.
Since 1st January 2013, Vapestick's sales (across all channels) have grown by
more than 200% compared to the Q4 average in 2012, and this rapid growth shows
no signs of slowing in March.
According to Vapestick, the sudden jump in sales growth has been attributed to a
number of key factors, initially fuelled by New Year's resolutions, where
smokers opted to switch to electric cigarettes, as a healthier and cheaper
tobacco alternative.
Michael Clapper, co-founder and chairman at VAPESTICK says, "We believe the jump
we've experienced is down to a number of key factors, but the nature of
electronic cigarettes means that the word
spreads, increasingly rapidly, as one
smoker in any peer group makes the switch and demonstrates their discovery to
friends and colleagues. We were already seeing rapid sales growth throughout
2012, but it seems as if January 1st was the trigger point for many others to
make the switch too."
Another factor that Vapestick believes has contributed to sales growth includes
the introduction of 'cartomisers' to replace their previous 'cartridges'
across
their rechargeable electric cigarette range. The cartomisers deliver around 30
cigarettes of smoke-time each, and each one comes with its own built-in
atomiser, which helps to improve efficiency, consistency, flavour and vapour
production.
Clapper said, "Cartomisers have undoubtedly made a big difference to the number
of repeating customers we are seeing. The overall vaping experience is now more
satisfying than its ever been, and we've seen a jump from around 25% of our
customers coming back regularly for their refills, to around 38%, and we expect
this upwards trend to continue further over the coming months."
The electric cigarette industry as a whole is seeing a period of enormous growth
and brands like VAPESTICK are having to move fast with its product development
and innovation to stay ahead of the curve. In addition to the switch over to
cartomisers, VAPESTICK has launched several other new product lines this year
too, including a 0% nicotine 'V-Shisha' range, and an 1,800 puff electric cigar
(named the VIGAR). As with all VAPESTICK products, the new models also come
with a blue LED light tip, and the quality assurance that VAPESTICK is a
founding board member of ECITA (Electronic Cigarette Industry Trade
Association), so its products must be routinely tested in UK labs to ensure they
are free of any contaminants.
