University of Miami Names New Members to Board of Trustees

- The University of Miami Board of Trustees have named three new members to its Board of Trustees, Adrienne Arsht, Bruce E. Toll and UM student Shajena Erazo.

Arsht is Chairman Emerita of TotalBank and a respected national business leader and philanthropist. She has been a longtime supporter of the University of Miami, and in 2006 gave $1 million

to establish the Adrienne Arsht Distinguished Speaker Series in Ethics at the School of Business Administration. Earlier this year the former Carnival Center for the Performing Arts was renamed the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts in recognition of her generous donation.

Toll is vice chairman of Toll Brothers, Inc. (NYSE:TOL), a luxury homes builder, which he co-founded in 1967. He is the chairman of the Philadelphia Media Holdings, LLC, which owns the Philadelphia Inquirer, the Philadelphia Daily News and Phylli.com. An alumnus of the University of Miami, the Robert and Judi Prokop Newman Alumni Center will house the Bruce E. Toll Alumni Library. He is a member of the UM President's Council.

Erazo, a rising senior, will serve as the UM student representative on the Board. She is pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in English with a minor in Psychology and Religion.

The Board is responsible for governing the University of Miami, one of the largest private research universities in the southeastern United States.
