Artist and Favorite Country Artist, announced the engagement news on 21 December (09), a day after the singer had accepted Canadian ice hockey player Mike Fisher's proposal.
The former American Idol champion has been dating the Ottawa Senators star since last year (08).
It is not known if Fisher will accompany his bride-to-be to the People's Choice Awards.
