TV Guide Network Announces “Hollywood Summer Movies” Line-up for July

Friday night is movie night on TV Guide Network : this summer, as the network today announced plans to debut full-length feature films in July. TV Guide Network’s “Hollywood Summer Movies” line-up includes four star-studded features that will air in a two-hour block every Friday night at 8:00 p.m. ET/PT starting July 10. The films include: Golden

Globe® nominated BEYOND THE SEA starring Kevin Spacey and Kate Bosworth; YOU CAN’T HURRY LOVE starring Bridget Fonda; LOVE STINKS starring French Stewart, Tyra Banks and Jason Bateman; and MAN ABOUT TOWN starring Ben Affleck and Rebecca Romijn.

“This is our foray into airing full-length feature films on the network and one example of how we are leveraging the rich content library of Lionsgate,” said Ryan O’Hara, President of TV Guide Network and TVGuide.com. “We selected movies that offer star power and Hollywood focus to fit our brand and audience.”

Feature films airing on TV Guide Network in July include.

- BEYOND THE SEA: Premieres Friday, July 10 at 8:00 p.m. ET/PTKevin Spacey directs and stars in this film biography of singer Bobby Darin, a hipster in the Frank Sinatra mold and singer of pop hits such as "Splish Splash" and the titular tune “Beyond The Sea.” Darin eventually moved on to perform jazz standards that culminated in his signature gigantic hit, "Mack the Knife." Kate Bosworth plays Darin's wife, the movie star Sandra Dee. John Goodman, Bob Hoskins and Brenda Blethyn co-star.


- YOU CAN'T HURRY LOVE: Premieres Friday, July 17 at 8:00 p.m. ET/PTA young Ohio man moves to Los Angeles in search of a career and a girlfriend in this romantic comedy, set in the '80s singles scene. YOU CAN'T HURRY LOVE stars Bridget Fonda, David Leisure, Kristy McNichol, Charles Grodin and Sally Kellerman.


- LOVE STINKS: Premieres Friday, July 24 at 8:00 p.m. ET/PTSeth, a sitcom writer-producer, meets Chelsea at his best friend's wedding. He is immediately smitten by her blonde beauty; she is attracted to his income and single status. When her efforts to get him to commit to her fail, she turns vengeful and tries to make his life hell. LOVE STINKS stars Jason Bateman, Tiffani Thiessen, Tyra Banks, French Stewart, Bridgette Wilson and Bill Bellamy.


- MAN ABOUT TOWN: Premieres Friday, July 31 at 8:00 p.m. ET/PTJack is a successful, hardworking and unscrupulous Hollywood agent at the top of his professional game but completely out of kilter with his personal life.
When he takes a self-help class, word gets out and he becomes the focus of the gossip columns. Word travels fast...and so do the laughs.
