2010-03-08 23:01:26 - Actor known for his character portrayal on “Newhart,” as well as True Blood, Deadwood and Blade Runner, will join hosts Sande Shurin and Bruce Levy Tuesday, March 16 at 5 PM Pacific Time on the World Talk Radio Variety Channel.

Phoenix, AZ (PR-Inside) March 9, 2010 -- World Talk Radio Network and Voice America Talk Network Internet broadcasting pioneers, producing and syndicating online audio and video, today announced that nationally acclaimed actor William Sanderson will join THE SANDE SHURIN SHOW on www.Worldtalkradio.com & www.voiceamerica.com live on World Talk Radio Tuesday March 16 at 8PM Eastern/5PM Pacific time.

William Sanderson will be talking about how he started his career by playing out of the box by fighting his way for an audition with Sande Shurin after the audition process was over in order to secure the part of a bum in a play called The Insect Comedy which Ms Shurin was directing and Levy was producing. From this brilliant portrayal William Sanderson

secured his first agent, got the par of the lead bum on The Newhart Show and the rest is history.

Early in his career William seemed to specialize in his unique brand of what he calls “prairie scum.” All that changed with two inspired castings that would reveal William’s versatility and bring him national exposure. Director Ridley Scott cast him as the brilliant, gentle toy maker in the now classic science fiction film Blade Runner. Shortly afterwards a onetime guest role became a successful eight year run with William’s comedic talent on display as the quirky backwoodsman “Larry” in the popular sitcom Newhart.

Sanderson is also currently playing another memorable role, that of “True Blood’s” Sheriff Bud Dearborne. William has played a host of distinct and diverse roles, routinely working opposite Hollywood’s A-list talent. He has appeared in films like The Onion Field, Lone Wolf Mcquade, Coal Miner’s Daughter, and City Heat. In the 90’s his body of work grew in a broad range of features including Death Hunt, The Rocketeer, Wagons East, and John Grisham’s The Client.

William has consistently and deftly moved between film and television, appearing in such shows as ER, The X-Files, Monk and Without A Trace, as well as memorable guest roles on Lonesome Dove, Stephen King’s Sometimes They Come Back, and Babylon 5: Thirdspace. He won American Film Institutes’s “Best Ensemble” award for his role in the HBO Series Deadwood.

The Sande Shurin Show airs live on World Talk Radio Tuesdays at 8PM Eastern/5PM Pacific. To access the live show log onto www.voiceamerica.com/worldtalkradio/vshow.aspx?sid=1693 the rebroadcast will be 8AM Eastern Time Wednesday Morning and syndicated on Voice America Talk Radio www.voiceamerica.com/voiceamerica/vshow.aspx?sid=1693 on Saturdays at 10AM and 10PM Eastern Time.
