January 6th, 2012 - Trusted Labs, a leading expert in security consulting and evaluation services, has upgraded its GlobalPlatform status to become a full member and expand its activities.

The active contribution of Trusted Labs in GlobalPlatform's Card Committee has positively fostered deliverables such as the Composition Model, which covers the security evaluation of applications loaded in a Common Criteria –- or EMVCo-certified open secure element, as well as the conditions that enable reuse of results across platforms. Through this new membership level, Trusted Labs increases its contribution to the whole value chain including now the Device and System Committees. GlobalPlatform will be able to leverage Trusted Labs’ expertise in order to benefit the whole industry, making services and hosting

devices more secure.
