uses an advanced electronic crossover network and Kenwood's exclusive System QEX for precise frequency control.

The KMR-700U is Sirius satellite radio ready with no adaptor required and supports MP3, WMA and AAC codecs. Two USB connections are located inside a sealed compartment that's safe for iPods, thumbdrives, etc. The water-resistant front panel is IPX5 rated, and the KMR-700U has a conformal-coated PCB and anti-corrosive chassis.

According to Papandrea, the KMR-700U is extremely simple to operate-an essential requirement in the often unpredictable marine environment. The unit includes a bright, easy-to-read display with four lines of text, simple rotary control knob, and a dedicated power button and search button for iPod and satellite radio.

The KMR-700U has non-volatile memory to indefinitely preserve audio and tuner presets, and an LCD remote control connection for the new KCA-RC107MR full-function remote (sold separately). The KCA-RC107MR is a wired remote with 2-line segmented white LCD and 4-directional control. Up to three remotes can be added to control and display information from the KMR-700U.
