Trini Lopez Releases “El Immortal”
As a follow-up to his best selling Cd “Ramblin’ Man”, Trini Lopez releases “El Immortal” on the Fuel Label. Produced by the renowed Grammy/Tony winner, Ron Dante, known for producing hits for Barry Manilow, Cher, Pat Benatar to name a few.
“El Immortal” takes the best from “Ramblin Man” and added 3 bonus tracks recorded in Spanish, “Sugar, Sugar” a song popularized by the the Archies and “Guantanamera.”
Trini Lopez sold over 100 million albums in his 40 years of recording, his most outstanding hits are “If I Had A Hammer,” “Lemon Tree,” “La Bamba” plus many others. Lopez’s many accolades is his appointment by an act of congress as a Goodwill Ambassador to the United
Nations, induction into the Latin Music Hall of Fame, star of the classic movie “The Dirty Dozen” with Lee Marvin and Charles Bronson.
Recently Lopez hosted and starred in a PBS special “Latin Music Legends” taped November 11, ’08 and will be airing on all the major PBS stations across the US. Recently it was aired in Corpus Christie, TX, June 9th.
