The next step to grow was done through the acquisition "Leuchtstoffwerk Breitungen GmbH“ in Thuringia, (Germany). "This was the main reason why we acquired LWB", adds Mr. Bouvier. At the acquired company the new owner is also viewed with great expectations. Mr. Limburg, co-owner and one of the managing directors of Leuchtstoffwerk Breitungen points out: "We are very happy about the new opportunities and we will have a by far higher presence with Treibacher on the extremely difficult market for illuminants. We feel in good hands with our new owner."
LWB will not change the operating strategy at the existing facility in Germany. With this acquisition Treibacher grew at 68 new employees. Last year, Leuchtstoffwerk Breitungen had a turnover of around 10 million € and an export rate of around 78 % which is around the same rate as Treibacher.
