A French man who was fined for trashing his home claimed the mess was a work of art.
Thierry Ehrmann spent 2.5 million euros destroying the 18th century property to turn it into what he called 'The Abode of Chaos'.
Ehrmann littered the garden with a crashed helicopter and wrecked cars and built an oil platform on the roof. He also painted the outer walls of the building black and covered them with signs and portraits of political figures.
The businessman, who made his fortune from an online art data company, was ordered to pay a fine of 200,000 euros.
