Teachers and Principals with experience in teaching and/or secondary school administrative experience, who are interested in living and working in China are encouraged to apply for opportunities in institute schools in Nanjing, Shanghai and other locations in China.

Contracts for a one-year minimum, beginning no later than mid-August 2009, with potential renewal for another year upon successful completion of first year are available now and feature.



- A maximum monthly salary of RMB 15000 (Chinese currency) with excellent benefits;
- A fully furnished modern apartment provided at no cost (including high-speed internet

access) or a 1000 RMB monthly housing allowance;
- An international travel allowance up to $800 USD, reimbursed upon completion of the one-year teaching contract period;
- A bonus of up to 1.5 months’ extra salary at the end of contract year based on a professional evaluation;
- Chinese language lessons and local cultural excursions furnished without charge;
- Support services provided by faculty and staff, including but not limited to translation assistance, travel planning, visa procurement, and emergency assistance; and
- Up to one-week induction and training period.

Qualifications for Teachers:



- A minimum of two years teaching experience in a California secondary school;
- Teaching experience in any of the following subject areas: English literature and composition, mathematics, science (physics/chemistry/biology), social studies (American government and politics, American history, world history, economics). Advanced Placement (AP) instructional experience in any of these subjects is particularly desirable.

Qualifications for Principals:



- A minimum of two years administrative experience in a California secondary school.
