Former SQUEEZE star GLENN TILBROOK enjoys touring as a solo artist because he can play impromptu shows in car parks and in fans' front rooms.
The LABELLED WITH LOVE singer always dreamed of taking Squeeze live shows from the stage to more intimate settings but bandmate CHRIS DIFFORD was always terrified of getting too close to fans.
Tilbrook features in a new tour documentary, ONE FOR THE ROAD, where he takes fans on street tours in the middle of shows and performs in one lucky devotee's living room - and he admits he would never have been able to do that when he was a member of Squeeze.
He explains, "I've always wanted to do those things and within Squeeze I did it a couple of times but Chris was really not comfortable with that sort of stuff.
"I remember inviting the entire audience into the parking lot when we did a Squeeze show once and there were a couple of thousand of them and he got scared. I don't blame him but I just don't feel that way myself."
