Opening the program on the evening of 23 April, delegates will hear from Mike Barkdoll, VP, Forest Vue Research LLC and Viktor Stiskala, Senior Manager for Coal and Coke, Competence Center Metallurgy, ThyssenKrupp Steel Europe, as they lay the foundation for 3 days of profit-focused content. Peter Liszio, Manager Schwelgern Coke Plant of ThyssenKrupp, who manages the biggest coke ovens worldwide in operation in 2013 will follow by sharing his experiences from his decade of hands-on management. Later in the program, Franz-Josef Schuecker, Head of Coke Oven Machines Department, Coke Plant Technologies, ThyssenKrupp Uhde GmbH will deliver the second keynote on the state of the art oven machines of the new battery installed at U.S. Steel in Clairton, Pennsylvania, USA.
