Business to launch strategic customer advisory board in 2013
PHILADELPHIA, PA - January 16, 2013 - Gordon Macomber has been appointed to the
role of managing director of the Scientific and Scholarly Research (SSR) unit of
the Intellectual Property & Science business at Thomson Reuters, the world's
leading source of intelligent information for businesses and professionals.
Keith MacGregor, who formerly led the unit, has moved into the role of strategic
advisor to the business, working closely with global customer groups including
government agencies, funding bodies, publishers and research institutions.
Mr. Macomber has a successful history in leading Thomson Reuters businesses and
has been recognized for the delivery of innovative products,
platforms and
solutions in the academic, professional and legal markets. Mr. MacGregor has
nearly a decade of experience with SSR in establishing meaningful relationships
and partnerships with customers in the scientific research community. He will
continue to provide his strategic insight to the business in the future.
These changes are part of the business' strategic plan for 2013, which includes
a commitment to deliver even-more innovative, intuitive solutions and more
robust content. Additionally, a customer advisory board will be launched. These
plans were influenced by feedback from more than 800 customer interviews.
