The Board of Advisors is in its second year as part of Think IT Association. The board holds meetings throughout the year to discuss the overall direction of Think IT
and develop ideas for events and programs to provide the association’s 1,000-plus members. “Think IT’s Board of Advisors plays a key role in developing our new initiatives and programs,” Richard Walker, Founder and Chairman of Think IT, said. “As the voice of membership, the board has helped us quickly mature from a small group of IT professionals to a rapidly-growing association.”
In 2012, the first year under the board’s guidance, Think IT created the Technical group, a group designed specifically for Software Developers, Software Engineers, Database Administrators, and other technical professionals. Think IT also began the association’s peer-to-peer collaboration and mentorship program, which unites IT professionals with a partner, mentor and/or mentee in the Twin Cities area. Along with new programs and groups, Think IT held collaboration meetings, networking events and quarterly events with guest speakers throughout the year.
