The freaky-looking rubber balls, with grossly sculpted faces and graphically colorful names like Freaky Fullback and Oculous Orbus, will
be available for sale exclusively at Comic-Con 2008. The first 1,000 fans to purchase Madballs Series II product will receive a signed and numbered original Madballs art poster created by Madballs artist and designer Jim Groman.
The Madballs Classic Series II includes six disgusting styles of soft foam rubber balls that are approximately the size of a baseball. Each ball is highly detailed with an outrageous face bursting with freakish fun and personality. They include classic 1980's favorites: Freaky Fullback, Oculus Orbus, Swine Sucker, Wolf Breath, Dust Brain and all new Blech Beard (the mutant pirate). This series will begin shipping to mass and specialty retailers beginning August 2008 and will retail for a suggested $5.99.
The Madballs Sick Series II takes the "yuck factor" up a notch with three styles, sized slightly larger, with over-the-top, repulsive functions. For example, squeeze Freaky Fullback and his brains bubble out of his cracked football helmet! Blech Beard's eye patch opens and his eyeball bursts out of its socket when you squish him! And with a single squash to Dust Brain, this mummy's head bubbles through his bandages to reveal creepy worms and maggots! The Madballs Sick Series II will hit stores for holiday '08 and retails for a suggested $6.99.
