- The Wireless Source, Inc. Bob Sullivan, President 248-335-0440 BSullivan@TWSmail1.com The Wireless Source will introduce at CTIA this year several new mobile phone recycling solutions that offer the ability to recycle wireless devices in a safe and secure manner. The services are cost-free and feature guaranteed data removal from the retired wireless handsets, while ensuring proper disposal of

unusable devices.

The Wireless Source is a global leader in the collection, processing and reuse of wireless technologies. The company supports recycling and asset recovery services to wireless service providers, retailers, businesses, charities and consumers in a secure and environmentally sound manner. The Wireless Source is an ISO14001 registered company.

Worldwide sales of mobile phones surpassed one billion units for the first time last year. With all these new phones, the question becomes, what is happening to all the phones that are no longer being used? As consumers and businesses upgrade their phones, it frequently creates a stockpile of unused handsets sitting idle in closets and desk drawers.

"So many of these units are not properly retired as consumers and businesses are concerned about privacy and identity theft of data residing on the wireless device," said Bob Sullivan, CEO of the Wireless Source. "Many people want to recycle or donate their retired handsets, but want the peace of mind knowing that all the data will be safely removed before it is retired."

Sullivan further said, "We also provide our clients with tools via the web where they can remove the data themselves or they can simply send the units to us - we'll do it for them. We use the latest electronic tools to remove all data from retired handsets."

It is estimated that there are more than 700 million cellular phones stockpiled in the United Stated alone. Non-usable handsets are properly recycled to minimize any environmental threat.
