The 09 registration numbers will be available to view on October 10th 2008 and will be available to buy on Dec 2nd 2008. These will be available by telephone as usual and for the first time via on-line ordering from the website. The new online ordering feature should remove the previous anomally of not being able to get through on

the phone from certain parts of the country and should present a more level playing field for those interested in purchasing. These registration numbers are only suitable for vehicles first registered after March 1st 2009 and are not suitable for cars already purchased and registered. They are more useful to motorists who have cars ordered for delivery March 1st 2009 or later or for those who wish to buy a personalised registration number with 09 in it for use at a later date when they have a car suitable to receive it.
